Akter Clinic wants people to be able to use this website regardless of disability, access need, device or assistive technology.

As a private service provider in England, the clinic has duties relating to reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010. The website is being developed with WCAG 2.2 Level AA as the technical benchmark.

2. Conformance status

This website is currently described as working towards WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Akter Clinic should not state that the website is fully compliant until a representative audit has been completed and material failures have been corrected.

3. Accessibility features included in the website

The development work currently includes:

• responsive layouts for desktop, tablet and mobile;
• keyboard-operable navigation and FAQ controls;
• visible focus indicators for links, buttons and form controls;
• semantic headings, landmarks and labelled navigation;
• descriptive alternative text where supplied;
• scalable text and layouts designed to avoid horizontal scrolling;
• colour contrast designed around black, gold, white and ivory;
• support for reduced-motion preferences; and
• telephone and email alternatives to the online form.

4. Known limitations

• The embedded Google Form and Google Map are third-party components. Their internal code, focus order, error messages, typography and accessibility behaviour are controlled by Google rather than Akter Clinic.
• The Google Form may display account-related information or controls to signed-in Google users.

Where an embedded component creates difficulty, users can contact the clinic by telephone or email instead.
